Honourable Leadership
We have been let down.
Our leaders are not so much leading, but rather, pretending to lead so that they feel like leaders.
It is a scam.
Leadership is about being of noble service to the people that have chosen you (out of every other possible human) to guide them through the murky waters of life.
They are counting on you.
They are praying you’ll be different.
They are desperate and aching from a millennia of sh*t leaders faking it.
It’s easy to think that your role is about you.
About how your words sound or how you look.
But it’s a scam.
Your role isn’t and never was about you.
It’s about them. It always was.
Leading is about having the courage to listen.
Really listen.
To everything.
To notice the nuances.
Like an eagle from a high vantage point.
To assess everything.
“Who is suffering?
How’s our home?
Are my people happy?”
These are good questions.
And your job is to help them.
I don’t care if it’s uncomfortable.
I don’t care if it hurts.
Your job as a leader is to be willing to face the truth about everything in your Kingdom.
And to do all you can to make wrongs right.
To do your part in the good fight for Justice.
This will often make you unpopular.
There will be haters.
The lost will rage and blame.
The dodgy leaders will tantrum and vilify.
But this is not a playground. This is your Kingdom.
You have been entrusted with the care of millions of precious souls.
The land and animals are also counting on you.
It’s easy to focus on being popular.
It’s hard to do what’s right.
Do it anyway.
Serve them well.
